Here you will find character, world building, and plotting documentation used to facilitate and track the creation of Ocharan Terminal.
I decided before coming up with characters that I wanted each of them to have main and secret motives for their actions in Ocharan Terminal, noted in this document as superficial and hidden agendas. The idea was that there would be more tension between the characters if each has motives the others might not know about.
When I set out to plot a story, I enjoy visually brainstorming using white boards. When I'm done, I type the white board notes up and get to writing.
The setting of Ocharan Terminal, a dilapidated space station in a remote solar system, needed a history to be believable. Who built it? What was it used for? Why was it abandoned? Answering world building questions like these, for me, is the key to creating opportunities for plot development and character growth.
